Spring Break 2015

Spring break started out with the girls' music recitals.  They were very nervous, but did a wonderful job in composing themselves and in playing their best.  It was very special that Grandma and Grandpa Bean came to support them and stay the night.

Afterward we all celebrated with Cold Stone.

The next day we took a little trip down into the canyon.

And had lunch at 5 guys.

That weekend we spent a couple of days in Idaho Falls with Grandpa and Grandma Bean.  The weather was very yucky so we spent a lot of time indoors.  We did manage to make it to 31 Flavors for ice cream on Monday night though.

That weekend, we took a couple of days and drove to Challis to explore that area of Idaho a bit.  We stayed in a little motel and ate at their diner.

We visited a fun museum about the mining in that area. We also spent the afternoon swimming at Challis hot springs.

Along the way home we followed the Salmon river all the way to it's source. It was an amazing trip back to Twin Falls full of beauty and stops along the way.

We found some hot springs coming right from the ground.

There were two Salmon fish hatcheries that we visited.

It was a relaxing 12 days full of good times with the family.

Caldron Linn

This Sunday we took a drive past Murtah, Id. to a little (or should I say big) hidden gem called Caldron Linn.  The water is extremely low in the winter, but it was still magnificent to see.  In the summer there is so much water pouring through here that the ground rumbles beneath your feet and there are more series of waterfalls.   Just below the falls are some of the best white water rapids in the state.  It's fun to have lived here for so long and still be able to visit and see things around the canyons that we haven't before.

Above the falls, where the river is a bit more calm, there are a bunch of rock pools and exposed surfaces to play on around the water.

After we were all done, we threw the kids down this massive rock hole that had been carved out of sediment and current and left them there to fend for themselves.  Ha ha.

Random Winter Fun

We have spent quite a bit of time at Grandma and Grandpa Bean's house since they moved.

There has been plenty of time for food and shopping at the mall.

We saw Big Hero 6 and Spongebob Out of Water

Pizza Friday and pounding out the Star Wars movies.

Playing in the little bits of snow we got this winter and picking up frozen dead mice from Dad's traps:{

Just dance competitions with family brackets and all.  We dance 3-4 times a week.

Enjoying the beautiful sunsets.

We had a good mild winter this year, but we can't wait for Spring to come!  Just a couple of more weeks:)
